The Process

I first explored a variety of concepts around my core values, personality, interests and more.

After compiling some of my strongest concepts, I went to the drawing board. I came up with several ideations for a necklace that embodied my values and personality.

The ideas boiled down to the final product which as it turns out, varied vastly from the original sketch! As I played with TinkerCAD and my design, my vision for this necklace morphed into a unique and inspiring design.

My final iteration turned out to be a statement choker-style necklace with a pendant featuring a variety of organic shapes. Personalized with a capital D, the focus of the design is on the intricate detail of the pendant.

The original design I had in mind was intended to convey a series of free-flowing lines and organic shapes of various colors. I wanted to create a statement piece that celebrates the beauty of diversity, creativity, and the interconnectedness of the world around us in a relatively abstract way.

The creation of this necklace challenged me to learn a new skill using TinkerCAD. Most importantly, it challenged my creativity and my ability to pivot from one vision to the next. My idea for this necklace evolved constantly until the very end.
